Hi there, I'm Jason Lewis. I'm investigating ways to identify and rate potential habitats for Vancouver Island marmots.

Two technologies I've experimented with are remote sensing and geographic information systems (GIS).

In the following pages I'll illustrate two models -- one coarse-scale, one medium-scale -- that attempt to predict where marmot habitat will occur on Vancouver Island.
